Job

Regular work at one pace for which you receive a pay cheque (i.e., Junior cashier at Zellers in Stratford, reporting to Manager X; Framer at ABC Construction reporting to Contractor X; Teacher at Stratford Northwestern Secondary School reporting to Principal X).

 

Occupation

A cluster of jobs with common characteristics (i.e. photographer, nursing, teaching, engineering, farming). There are many types of photographers, nurses, teachers, engineers and farmers therefore these are occupations and not specific jobs.

 

Career

The combined total of all the events in our lives, from the time we are born until we die, including education, work, family, leisure, activities and more.
