Binge Drinking



Binge drinking is defined as consuming 5 or more alcholic beverages in a short period of time.




Binge Drinking causes the inability to make good decisions.


- Loss of reasoning ability

- Risk taking behaviors

- Alchoal poisoning

- Increased Sexual Activity (assulting/assulted)


How do I know a Friend has been "Binge Drinking"


If they:


- Vomit in their Sleep

- Unable to wake them up

- Slow Breathing

- Seizures




- 2/3 of young people binge drink

- Stats Canada 2000/2001 saw that 25% of Canadians 12 - 19 years of age have "Binge Drinked"
